30 Minutes a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Moderate exercise 30 minutes a day has been shown to result in a:

  • 47% reduction in pain and disability for patients of knee arthritis
  • 50% reduction in progression to dementia and alzheimers
  • 58% reduction in frank diabetes for patients at high risk of diabetes
  • 41% reduction in hip fracture in post-menopausal women
  • 48% reduction in anxiety
  • 30% reduction in depression at low intensity
  • 47% reduction in depression at moderate to high intensity
  • 23% lower risk of overall death

And still, more than one-third of all adults do not meet recommendations for aerobic physical activity based on the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Do your best to be active.
